Amanda Perez became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in 2011. She has over 15 years experience working with infants to adults in home and community settings, and across both public and non-public schools. She enjoys the process of meeting new people and identifying solutions that are effective and meaningful. She is committed to ensuring that learning is a fun and successful process for all involved.

Since 2001, Steve Perez has served across school, home, community, and administrative settings, previously serving as a consultant and manager for public agencies in Orange County. He became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in 2011, and has worked with countless professionals, organizations, and agencies to improve service delivery for all. He initially studied electrical engineering, but found human learning and behavior more interesting than electronic circuits, as he enjoys helping infants, toddlers, children, adults and parents succeed.

Steve and Amanda Perez first met by chance working together in 2008 while pursuing graduate studies in Psychology at California State University, Fullerton. They shared materials, ideas, and problem solved together to help the clients they serve succeed.
Several years later, having served across various agencies, they noticed that the expertise and experience of the highest positions were not always present to actively mentor the staff who are providing direct treatment and support.
In 2012, Functional Behavioral Interventions was started, with Steve and Amanda Perez primarily providing direct services. Steve and Amanda Perez still conduct direct service and maintain an active role doing what they love and working hard to keep their skills sharp and knowledge current.
Functional Behavioral Interventions has slowly grown to provide quality services for more families in our community, with experienced individuals that you can trust are trained and supervised well.
We focus on working closely with the individuals and families they serve. The families that we partner with are taught how to implement all necessary programs, while ensuring that our families are comfortable and successful with their individualized program.
